FAQs
What is the M3U IPTV app, and how do I use it?
The M3U IPTV app is a player for M3U playlists. To use it, you need to provide your own playlist, as we do not supply any playlists.
If you have a playlist (either as a URL or stored on a USB drive or local storage), you can enter the URL in the app's designated settings field or select the file using the USB function or file explorer (this feature is not supported on LG devices).
Premium Features
- Unlimited playlist sources
- EPG (Electronic Program Guide) overview
- Catch-up / Archive (if supported by playlist provider)
- Password protection
- Channel editing
- Customizable UI
- No ads
- Advanced settings
- Many will follow
How to enable EPG?
Go to advanced settings of the app. Enable EPG and insert an EPG source URL. Then click on the "download EPG now" button.
Some playlists have a build-in EPG-URL (in first line), that is inserted automatically after playlist download. If not, you can get this URL from your playlist-provider or alternatively search in google.
Keep in mind, that not all EPG-sources are compatible with each playlist.
In Browser version, streams are not playing
Browsers don't like mixed contents. If the App was loaded with HTTPS, they don't play HTTP contents by default - they call them "insecure". There are some ways to fix that.
- In Edge/Chrome open the URL: edge://flags/ or chrome://flags/
- Activate setting Insecure origins treated as secure and enter this URL into the input field: http://m3u-ip.tv
- Restart Browser
- Go to URL edge://settings/content/insecureContent or chrome://settings/content/insecureContent
- In Allowed to show insecure content add m3u-ip.tv
- Save and restart
- Optionally install the M3U IPTV chrome/edge extension to eliminate CORS limitations
Playlist cannot be downloaded
It is not a problem of the app! Try to download the playlist in a browser. If not downloaded in a browser, the URL is not available. Contact your playlist provider.
Channels are not playing anymore
It is not a problem of the app! If your playlist was playing before, it is an issue of your playlist provider. You can also try other apps. Contact your playlist provider.
Why is the new version 3 not available in the app store?
The app is currently undergoing QA phase or your device is not supported/too old. Supported devices are listed here: https://m3u-ip.tv/
